Esther Maquette
Esther was made so that I could practice different techniques for hair and facial sculpting! She is sculpted from polymer clay and painted with acrylic model paints and chalk pastels. Her hair is brushed and ironed acrylic yarn, wrapped around pink straw segments for rollers and attached with wire and hot glue.
Romanian Folk Art Mask
This Romanian folk art mask was made to practice working with felt and layering fiber to make facial hair. The head, nose, eyes, mouth, ears, and hat are made from pre-felt sheets, his pupils and teeth are made from card stock, and his beard and eyebrows are made from brushed acrylic yarn.
