Wirt Model (Over the Garden Wall)
I made this Wirt model to celebrate the anniversary of Over the Garden Wall! Wirt has a metal support structure with epoxy putty bones, a foam wrap body, polymer clay hands, feet/shoes, and head, acrylic fiber hair, and he painted with acrylic model paints and shaded with chalk pastels. His clothes are cotton and felt with wires along the edges for structure and posing and his suspenders are made from thin leather cord and black string. The lantern is made from polymer clay and wire, painted with acrylic model paints. The platform he's on is made of bass wood and covered with a layer of dehydrated dirt. The bushes are carved foam sponges dyed with layers of watered down acrylic paint.

Electronic Magician Model
I wanted to experiment with techniques to simulate metal without actually using metal for most of the model! This model is made with a wire support structure, epoxy putty "bones" and finger segments, and a polymer clay head, all painted and weathered with acrylic model paints and stains. I used a small amount of metal jewelry pieces to accent small parts (like on the back of the hands and on the collar bone). The clothes are velvet, tulle, and metallic spandex. The arms, fingers, and neck are also posable!
